As a project Design Engineer and Manager at Flowers & Associates in Santa Barbara, Mr. Sandberg has been active in the planning of large Winery and Land Development projects including the Rancho Monte Alegre Project.

His previous experience includes preparation of preliminary design on the Wood Ranch Project in Simi Valley (3,600 units), Camarillo Springs Village in Camarillo, CA (900 units), Leisure Village in Camarillo, CA (2,500 units), Leisure Village in Oceanside, CA (1,500 units), and many other residential development projects in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas.

Mr. Sandberg has over 45 years’ experience in civil design and construction of land development projects, transportation planning as well as water and wastewater treatment facilities.  His work has included the Victor Valley Wastewater Facility, the Wood Ranch Water System, the Lake Sherwood Water System, and the City of Oxnard Trunk Sewer and Pump Station Projects.

Prior to joining Flowers & Associates in 2005, Mr. Sandberg was Office Manager and Senior Project Engineer at Sid Goldstien Civil Engineers in Solvang, California, where he used his expertise in Land Planning and Civil Design on various residential subdivisions and commercial developments.

Previously Mr. Sandberg was, for five years, the Office Manager and Project Manager at AHR Engineers and JMR Enterprises located in Tacoma, Washington.  While at this firm Mr. Sandberg was responsible for infrastructure development on the Boeing Aircraft Wing and Spar facility located on 500 acres in Pierce County, Washington.

He has also managed engineering offices for Haaland & Associates, Woodyard & Associates and Cooper Sherman Enterprises.  During his 45-year career he has worked on large industrial, commercial and residential projects in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Washington State, as well as petroleum and wastewater treatment projects overseas for various oil companies.
