Ms. Macon has been working in the Santa Barbara area since January 2006 as a certified land use planner and project manager. Her work has consisted mainly of land use planning, permit processing, LEED project consultation and overall project management. She has managed land plans and other engineering projects for both the public and private sector with permitting or entitlement issues and has been instrumental in guiding projects successfully through the regulatory approval process.

Ms. Macon has worked on a variety of projects over the course of her tenure (single family residences, commercial buildings, public roads and utilities, multi-residential developments, mixed-use buildings, etc.) and has successfully obtained permits and approvals from all the local regulatory agencies of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, in addition to Army Corps of Engineers, CA Department of Fish and Wildlife, Regional Water Quality Control Board and extensively with CalTrans. She has recently undertaken several Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) projects and is familiar with the State and local policies surrounding ADU’s.

Ms. Macon is also a LEED Accredited Professional with an emphasis in Building, Design and Construction. She provides consultation to her clients on how to design their projects in an environmentally efficient and sustainable manner. She has consulted on a number of successful LEED projects including a variety of projects at Cate School, the High Tech Building at Santa Barbara City College and the Santa Barbara Zoo. She is currently the LEED Project Administrator for the Pritzlaff Conservation Center at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. She is also familiar with Built Green Santa Barbara and the County of Santa Barbara’s Low Impact Development initiative.

Ms. Macon is the founder and President of Women in Development Santa Barbara County, a local non-profit organization established to support female professionals in our local community working in all aspects of land development. The organization also strives to provide awareness to young women regarding opportunities for professional growth within this field.
