Mrs. Scott is a versatile member of the Flowers & Associates, Inc. design team with experience supporting the planning, design, modeling, and technical analysis of residential, commercial, and public works projects throughout Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. Her experience includes site development, utility infrastructure, water systems, and municipal improvement projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, RetainPro, and GIS, Mrs. Scott prepares grading plans, earthwork calculations, utility improvement plans, drainage studies, retaining wall designs, technical reports, and specifications. Her technical expertise includes the design and analysis of wet utility systems, including water, sewer, and storm drain facilities, as well as dry utility coordination, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and stormwater management. As a Qualified SWPPP Developer/Practitioner (QSD/P), she has prepared Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and performed Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) inspections during construction.
Mrs. Scott combines strong technical capabilities with effective communication and project coordination skills to develop practical, cost-effective designs and support successful project delivery through planning, design, and construction.
Her water system experience includes technical analysis, design, and plan preparation for improvements to the South Coast Conduit through the Cachuma Operation and Maintenance Board, Carpinteria Valley Water District projects, and the emergency design and installation of water system improvements for Aurora Vista del Mar Hospital in Ventura. The AVDM project provided critical domestic and fire suppression water capacity through installation of a permanent fire pump system, allowing reoccupation of the 16-acre campus following the Thomas Fire.
Mrs. Scott’s site development experience includes hospitality, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Notable projects include the Marriott Residence Inn in Goleta, the Miramar Hotel & Resort in Montecito, and the Village at Los Carneros in Goleta, a 43-acre, 465-unit residential development consisting of single-family homes, multi-family units, affordable housing, market-rate apartments, a public park, and recreational facilities. Additional residential experience includes The Boulders Custom Residences, the Knoll Private Estate Residences, and Tree Farm.
Mrs. Scott has also contributed to numerous retail, single-family residential, roadway, water, and wastewater projects throughout the Santa Barbara region and surrounding communities.
