Mr. Craig brings extensive experience in construction inspection and project support services, with a specialized focus on water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects. His background includes construction observation, contract compliance review, quality assurance, coordination with contractors and agencies, and field verification of complex utility installations.

Mr. Craig has provided construction inspection services for a variety of municipal water and sewer improvement projects throughout the Central Coast. His experience includes review and monitoring of underground utilities, water transmission systems, sewer collection systems, pump facilities, treatment infrastructure, and associated mechanical and electrical systems.

Notable project experience includes the $4.3 million Dewatering Equipment Replacement Project at the Ventura Water Reclamation Facility, which involved installation of automated centrifuge systems, conveyors, pumps, polymer systems, HVAC and air handling improvements, and SCADA integration. Mr. Craig provided construction oversight for the complex equipment installation and system integration.

For the City of Ventura’s Main & Brent Street Sewer Replacement Project, Mr. Craig performed independent review of Contract Change Order requests to verify compliance with contract documents. He also provided construction observation for the Lincoln Drive Waterline Replacement Project, which included installation of approximately 14,000 linear feet of PVC waterline in a hillside residential neighborhood. His responsibilities included field coordination and assisting with alignment revisions when unforeseen site conditions were encountered.

Mr. Craig has extensive experience with complex utility improvements in constrained urban and environmentally sensitive areas. The Downtown Water & Sewer Improvement Project in Ventura included construction observation and coordination of archaeological monitors, Native American monitors, and geotechnical testing personnel during installation of approximately 4,700 linear feet of water mains, 2,500 linear feet of sewer mains, 17 sewer manholes, and 63 service lateral connections. The project required extensive coordination due to downtown business impacts, nighttime construction, and phased utility installation.

His experience also includes the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden Sewer & Water Infrastructure Improvement Project, involving construction observation for water and sewer improvements, including approximately 1,000 linear feet of 12-inch water main, 600 linear feet of sewer main, six sewer manholes, and a Corten-steel utility crossing bridge over Mission Creek. Mr. Craig previously provided inspection services for an earlier phase of the Garden’s water infrastructure improvements.

Mr. Craig has supported numerous water system improvement projects for local agencies, including the Carpinteria Valley Water District and Goleta Water District. His experience includes hillside water infrastructure projects involving HDPE waterlines, pressure regulation facilities, storage tanks, fire services, concrete roadways, and bridge crossings constructed under stringent regulatory requirements. Additional projects include the Central Zone Infrastructure Improvement Project, involving 12,000 linear feet of water main installed using open-cut and horizontal directional drilling methods, and the Calle Real Waterline Improvement Project, involving relocation of an existing water main within an HDPE casing beneath a new drainage structure.

Prior to his construction inspection career, Mr. Craig served as a Certified Welding Inspector for the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power’s Valley Generating Station Repowering Project. His responsibilities included welder qualification testing, visual weld inspection, nondestructive examination coordination, and process piping fabrication inspection for a 520 MW combined-cycle power facility.

Mr. Craig’s combination of field inspection experience, utility construction knowledge, and quality assurance background provides valuable expertise in successfully delivering complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
